Data portability · GDPR Article 20

Your data is yours. I help you get it back.

I export, in bulk, the information in your own business software (customers, appointments, history, invoicing) and deliver it in a structured, portable format. Using your credentials as a legitimate user, without depending on your software provider being willing to hand it over.

What’s included

  • Automated bulk export using your legitimate credentials
  • Standard, portable formats: CSV, Excel and JSON
  • Ready to import into your new system
  • A documented process with responsibilities set out in a contract

What you get out of it

  • Move to a new system without losing your history
  • No more data held hostage to keep you as a customer
  • Thousands of records exported without copying them by hand
  • Back in control of your own information

How it works within the law

Under Article 20 of the GDPR you have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format and pass it to whoever you choose. I work with the username and password of a real, authorised user that you provide, doing automatically and in bulk what you could do record by record. No passwords are cracked, no vulnerabilities exploited, nothing is accessed without permission.

A data processing agreement, signed

I act as a processor on your behalf (Article 28 of the GDPR) and we sign the agreement that sets out each party’s responsibilities. Credentials are kept only as long as the task needs them, and data is used solely for the agreed purpose.

Important

This service is only provided on systems where you are a legitimate user, and for data you own or are responsible for. You confirm you hold those rights and expressly authorise the operation. I never access third-party systems without authorisation.

How it works

  1. 01

    Legitimacy check

We confirm you’re a legitimate user and the owner or controller of the data, and sign the processing agreement.

  2. 02

    Access and export

You provide the authorised user’s credentials and I run the bulk export on your behalf.

  3. 03

    Your data, delivered

You receive it in CSV, Excel or JSON, ready to use or migrate. Then you change your password.

Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to extract the data from my business software?+

Yes, when it’s your data and you’re a legitimate user: you’re exercising your right to data portability, and the action is carried out by an authorised user of the software.

Do you keep my passwords?+

No. They’re used only for the export, and you change them as soon as it’s finished.

Are you breaking the software’s security?+

No. Access is through the front door, with a valid login. Nothing is hacked or bypassed.

What responsibility do I take on?+

You confirm that you have the right to the data and authorise the operation; the processing agreement sets out the rest.
